A3: The Kennesaw State University wrestling team travels all over the nation to wrestle against top quality teams and compete in national tournaments. As of last year the farthest the team has traveled was Texas.

A4: Kennesaw State University does not wrestle NCAA division I, II, or III. KSU competes in the NCWA (National Collegiate Wrestling Association). Just because KSU is not in the NCAAs does not mean we do not compete against them.

A6: The league that KSU wrestling is affiliated with is the NCWA, but we compete against other schools from different leagues including junior colleges, NAIAs, and NCAAS.

A8: There are so many benefits to wrestling here at KSU. First off, for Georgia residents that plan on wrestling at KSU you have it made. Almost every student can easily qualify for the Hope Scholarship which pays for all or your tuition. Also, by wrestling here at KSU you can stay close to home. Many young wrestlers right out off high school that go to an out of state college to wrestle often become home sick and come back to home here in Georgia with to finish their college careers. Unless you were one of the top wrestlers in the nation, you also bring back 10’s of thousands of dollars in school loans which take years to pay off. More benefits to come!

A9: You must meet all the requirments that have been set forth by the NCAA in order to wrestle here at Kennesaw State University. 1. You must be a current student in good academic standing. 2. You must have a passion for wresting and be willing to listen to the coach and be a faithful teammate.

Q11: How can I help support KSU's young wrestling Program?
A11: First of, you can help us out by telling everyone you know about the team at KSU. We have a real team. For anyone that does not believe, just bring them to one of our practices or matches. Word of mouth advertising is huge and vital part of spreading the word about KSU wrestling. Secondly, you can help us out financially. Just like every other college program in the nation, KSU wrestling has to raise money in order to pay for everything we need (singlets, uniforms, ect) and all of the traveling required to compete nationally.

Q12: What are KSU's accomplishments thus far?

A12: In our inaugural season, Kennesaw State Wrestling managed to outscore dual meet opponents by 58%, posting 535 points to our opponents308 combined points. We had an impressive 11-4 dual record in the 2006-2007 season, having lost two times to the back-to-back National Champions, the University of Central Florida! KSU has never failed to make it to the finals in their dual tournaments, most impressively, winning the Georgia State Duals on January 20, 2007. KSU had 7 wrestlers to qualify for the national tournament, with 2 conference finalists, one winning a Southeast Conference Championship. At the NCWA National tournament KSU posted 3 All-Americans, one 8th place finish, one 4th place finish, and Kennesaw State's first ever National Champion.In the 2007-2008 season KSU qualified 6 wrestlers for nationals. We had one guy in the National Finals.
